High on the mountaintop
snow melts in spring
causing rivers and creeks
to ripple, and to sing.
Soaring from great heights
off cliffs grand and tall,
it fills us with wonder—
a gigantic water fall.
Splendid in beauty,
filling a need—
water rushing— falling
with great force and speed.
The mist in great pools
a thousand feet down
seems only to soften
the beautiful sound.
Animals gather
to gently dip paws,
sharing this space
as we stare in awe.
Water replenishing
sweet grassy range,
flowing o’er boulders
as seasons see change.
Natures great wonder—
a miraculous feat
fed from high mountains—
water so sweet.
It seems as tho’ God
has poured down from Heaven
refreshment much needed—
so graciously given.
