Don't cast your pearls before
swine,
don't sleep or run with a pig
for all they will do is whine,
and in your garden they will dig.
You can't make a silk purse from a sow’s ear,
leopards don't change their spots.
Their odor will rub off on you
for playful kitties they are not.
You think you can help them up,
but truth is—they'll pull you down.
If you try to fill up their cup,
pigs will not hang around.
You may feel so bad for them,
but they're just using you.
Their goal is for others to offend,
and that’s just what they’ll do.
They're never grateful,
all they do is complain.
They'll steal your pearls of wisdom,
and devour your good name.
You mustn't
offer them comfort,
those seeking to spread discord.
They won’t appreciate your effort—
Peace comes of one accord.
Dine with
those who are grateful,
and those who have blessings to count,
Treat others with much kindness,
and the hills of Heaven you’ll mount.
