Grieve not for me, friend, this is my time of release.
Don’t be sad—take comfort for I now know peace.

Finally, my Lord has sent me wings to fly.
Now I can join Him, so please don’t cry.

I need to know family and friends understand,
have peace and joy for I dwell in the ‘Promised Land.’

I’m no longer trapped in that feeble body and mind,
and when on that day you join me, you will find…

My reward for living a life filled with love,
is joining in flight with the sweet ‘Mourning Dove.’

Let each dove you encounter be a reminder of me,
and smile, sweet loved ones, live life, do not grieve.
