Colors of Love

Love appears in many colors…
Purple is for passion,
the heart, soul, and spirit
engaged in loving action.

Blood Red
inflaming emotions,
infatuation, imagination,
keeping love in motion.

Pink speaks of loving friends
who leave their print
on a willing heart
with enduring tint.

A heart grieving
is bluer than Blue
suffered often in life,
yes, more than a few.

Green, signifies envy—
suspicion, and power,
unrelenting jealousy
of that Ivory Tower.

Orange, is lack of communication,
individuals preferring to fight,
bickering with one another
rather than keeping lips tight.

Golden Yellow—true and pure,
to people of many years
who walked thru’ trials,
and burning tears.

Black in a relationship
causes darkness in the heart,
fading thru’ the seasons
until couples part.

Love in “Life Colors”
collected in wide array,
translucent memories
we save from day to day.

So many colors
we use throughout our lives
knowingly or not
as daily we strive.

Purple, Red, and Pink.
lucky colors are mine—
a life of majestic colors
that treat me so kind.

And, in the “Winter of my years”,
my life surely shows
not always perfect colors,
but in Heaven—beautiful rainbows.
