Your white pink face turns sunward
along with other common weeds,
Buckhorn and John Fox Tail,
your partners in this seedy pastoral drama
frequented by honey bees,
or occasional white-cabbage butterflies.

Separately, you are nothing but a nuisance
to be sprayed into an afterthought…
Together, you are a stunning wild bouquet
gracing our unnoticing souls.
